MYLC promotes stress-free environment

Students from MYLC helped give lemonade to students in the courtyard.

As advanced placement tests are on the way, Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council felt that they would promote a stress free environment by turning the courtyard into a lemonade stand for the duration of all three lunch waves on Friday, April 28th. As it was a beautiful day outside, MYLC handed out free cups of lemonade in order to help people take a minute and destress. Chelsea Valdez (‘18) said, “she was delighted to see people smile in a time of much stress”. People responded with smiles and gratitude as they were reminded to destress and stay calm during the next few weeks.
