Staples High School was dismissed early Tuesday after a student reported a threat that another student was considering executing a mass school shooting. When police interviewed the student, the report was confirmed that the student had thoughts of executing the horrendous act. Police immediately took the Westport student into custody. No weapons were found on the student at the time. However, it was discovered that his father had weapons in a safe at their home. Not all of the father’s guns have yet been accounted for as there is also an of out-of-state address that also has firearms.

Students at Staples returned back to school on Wednesday, without incident. The student, Nicholas Graham, was being held on $20,000.
