Through November 17th, Westhill High School, in partnership with the Interact club and JROTC are sponsoring a Thanksgiving food drive. Boxes have been placed throughout the school and signs sponsoring the event are on almost every wall.
“All donations are local and [delivered] to families in need” said social studies teacher and Interact advisor Sheryl Berkley. “Our goal last year was to feed 500+ families and that goes for this year as well,” she continued. Westhill has supported the Stamford community by doing this food drive for 15 plus years.

Some teachers are also offering extra credit in an effort to boost student grades. “I think that the extra credit encourages students to donate, but it may mask the true purpose of the food drive: to help others” said senior Andrew Dietzman.
