New Bands Night rocks the house

Students gather at the front of the stage at New Bands Night to enjoy the musical stylings of several local high school bands.

On Friday, March 26, several local high school bands, which involve Westhill students, performed at New Bands Night at Stamford High to showcase their talents. The groups covered a variety of genres and performed both original songs and covers. Admission cost $8, with a portion of the proceeds going to Haitian relief. At the end of the night, attendees could use their tickets to vote for their favorite band. The winner, Westhill’s own, Frogg, will receive free time at a local recording studio.

Below are video and photographs of some of the Westhill member-based bands.

Frogg: From Westhill, junior Skyler Clark (guitar and vocals) and seniors Minou Clark (female vocals), Lissa Occhino (keyboard), and Andrés Leonardo Parrado (bass guitar); from Stamford High, Alex Beltran on drums; and from Staples, Ryan Panny (guitar)

Iceman Orbit: Seniors James Forde (bass and vocals), Cody DeFalco (guitar), Will Hart (guitar), and Brian Barr (drums and vocals)
