The Westword’s new Op-Ed section will serve to provide a voice for Westhill’s community, including students, clubs, and faculty. While letters to the editor respond to specific articles in The Westword or the way in which a topic was covered, Op-Ed pieces are intended to allow the community to share their opinions about issues within Westhill or issues outside of it on the local and national levels. The Op-Ed section will not necessarily reflect the views of The Westword but rather will educate its readers through the opinion of an individual or group in the community. The Westword hopes that the Op-Ed page will be used appropriately as a forum for  discussing issues that are important to those in the Westhill community.
