Morning briefing: Winter sports underway and more snow to come

Today is a G+ day. Westhill starts with period 2 and ends with period 7.

Wake up Westhill!

Students and some faculty were disappointed there was no delay yesterday. Some felt the snow conditions made it a tough commute to school.

University of Bridgeport will have an “On-Site-Decision-Day” January 8th. Guidance counselors will provide students with transcript to give to the admissions counselor. Seniors can either bring a print-out of their SAT/ACT scores to the workshop, or can send scores at a later date. Senior applicants who provide transcripts and test scores will receive a decision immediately.

Girls hockey lost their first game to Avon-Southington by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday.

Boys wrestling started their season in Norwalk yesterday.

Stamford Happenings: 

The Nutcracker” will be performed Saturday (12/16) at 2PM and 6PM and Sunday (12/17) at 1PM and 5PM. There will be talent from the New York City Ballet performing. Tickets can be bought here.

The Palace Theatre announced ‘Frozen Sing-A-Long’ will be coming to Stamford on December 30th at 12:30PM and 3:30PM.
