Chamber Singers to perform in winter concert

The Westhill Chamber Singers are truly a hidden treasure, not recognized for their talent to the extent that they deserve to be. Led by Mr. Curri, the chamber singers are a meticulously trained group of about 15 girls and boys who are taught to read music and sing according to their vocal range.

Senior soprano member Julianna Goldfluss remarks that, “Despite all the new music we have to learn, the amazing results we’re left with and the memories we create make all the work worthwhile!”

The chamber singers preform annually at the Winter Concert, which is coming up right around the corner on the December 17. In addition, they will be singing the national anthem at a number of upcoming sports events and games, as Mr. Curri reports. Those events remain yet to be determined.

Above is a video of the chamber singers performing their latest piece, “Ave Maria,” right in time for the holidays! If you desire to become a part of the chamber singers for next year, auditions are held at the end of the year, which determine eligibility for the class. According to senior Julianna Goldfluss, there’s “good insurance that everyone is engaged and committed.” And again, if you recognize their immense talent, check them out at the Winter Concert!

EDIT: Originally this article said the Winter Concert was occurring on November 17, when it is actually taking place on December 18. We regret the error.
