Have you ever woken up on October 31st and not had a costume? Here are some quick and simple costume ideas that take less than 10 minutes to make. All of these can be tailored for men or women.

Skeleton: For this costume, you’re going to need a pair of black skinny jeans or a comfortable pair of black leggings with a matching black long sleeve shirt. Throw in a pair of black gloves if you own a pair. When it comes to creating the bones, you can draw them on with chalk or cut out shapes, and then attach them to your outfit with safety pins.

Burglar/Robber (both equally fun): A few necessities you’ll need for this costume are a black and white striped t-shirt, a pair of black gloves, and a black beanie. Then you’re going to need a tote, because a robber is nothing without his/her money bag.  All you’ll need to do is draw a huge dollar sign on one side of your bag. For your bandit mask, take a decent piece of black cloth in the shape of a long rectangle, and cut out two holes for your eyes.

Mummy: To make a mummy costume, all you need is white sheets and a pair of scissors. Cut the sheets into roughly two inch strips and keep ripping off as much as you think you’ll need. An optional step is to soak the strips in some coffee/tea water so that it stains them and it’ll give you that old effect. Then after rinsing and drying them, wrap them around you over a white outfit.

I hope these last-minute tips helped you create the perfect DIY costume.  Happy Halloween!
